Donna J. Marino joined the Catholic Community Foundation, on March 1, 2007 as its 3rd leader and its 1st female President and Chief Executive Officer. The Foundation currently has $52 million under management for the benefit of Catholic parishes, schools and organizations. Based in Phoenix, CCF is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals and organizations in Arizona, through scholarship programs, annual grants, and funding for under-served populations. In addition to the Foundationís overall management, Donna is responsible for defining the strategic direction of the organization, as well as establishing its position as a leader in Catholic philanthropy. Additionally, she was recently appointed as an Arizona Commissioner to the Governors Commission to prevent violence against women. Prior to her role at CCF, Ms. Marino served as the Executive Director of Development at the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport, Connecticut, where she was a member of the senior management team. Marino is a 1979 graduate of Boston University and has spent 28 years in fundraising and non-profit administration. Early in her career she was on the national staff of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and has served on number of regional and local boards. Marino was raised in Southern Connecticut and worked there for the United Way, as well as serving as the Vice President for Advancement at 3 different universities in the New York/Connecticut area. She and her husband, a retired Connecticut police captain, live in Scottsdale, Arizona and have one son, a sophomore at Arizona State University.
