In April 2009, Rhonda Forsyth became the fourth president and CEO in the 82-year history of John C. Lincoln Health Network.

Forsyth’s inauguration as top JCLHN administrator follows her recognition as the Valley’s 2009 Business Woman of the Year. Selected from 25 peers, she was first in the program’s history to be singled out for top honors.
Driven by her compassion for people, Rhonda has devoted her career to improving the quality of health care, human services and business practices provided by John C. Lincoln’s Hospitals, ancillary medical facilities and community programs.

Through much of her tenure at John C. Lincoln, she was responsible for leading managed care and revenue cycle operations. She saw the Network through expansions at both hospitals. She also served as CEO for each of the John C. Lincoln Hospitals before becoming executive vice president and chief operating officer for the Network.
She has more than 25 years of experience in health care administration, and holds a Master of Science in business administration from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Pitzer College. She has served a variety of business, arts and community organizations including the Phoenix Boys Choir, the Better Business Bureau and the American Cancer Society.

Under her leadership, the Network achieved a number of accomplishments:

  • John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital is the first area hospital to be redesignated as a Magnet by the American Nurses Association, an honor accorded only the top 2 percent of the nation’s hospitals for excellence in nursing care.

  • John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital was honored with the Arizona State Quality Alliance’s Pioneer Award for high performance excellence throughout the hospital.

  • Selected as a Solucient Top 100 Hospital.

  • Singled out as a Great Place to Work in Arizona in a “Fortune” magazine ranking of the Top 100 Places to Work in the United States.

  • Recognized for excellent patient care by “U.S. News and World Report.”

  • Named one of the nation’s top hospitals in the area of organ donation.
